Eine ganze Familie, einschließlich Haushälterin, ausgelöscht. Ohne ersichtlichen Grund. Nur ein neun Jahre altes Mädchen überlebt - aufgrund einer Verwechslung. Es sieht nach Eve Dallas' schwerstem Fall aus, da es absolut keine Hinweise gibt, was zum Mord an der gesamten Familie geführt haben könnte. Aber dank ihren Instinkten und ihrer herausragenden Ermittlungsarbeit kommt Eve auch hier wieder den Tätern auf die Spur... Absolut empfehlenswert!
